Honours for the best at the Digital Signage Best Practice Award
Innovative strength of viscom exhibitors unabated
Düsseldorf. The suspense was intense, and so was the competition. In the end, seven projects were chosen from the large number of entries and received the Digital Signage Best Practice Award during the viscom night celebrations last night. Prizes went to the most efficiently designed, most creatively implemented, most innovative and successful digital signage applications. This was the third time the Digital Signage Best Practive Award competition was successfully held after its 2007 premiere in Düsseldorf. By putting a total of 19 nominated products on display at the Digital Signage World, viscom emphasized its claim to being a leader in Europe.
"Information Signage" category
In the Information Signage category, a high-precision concept convinced the jury. With its Pošta Slovenije "It's not just about letters" project, Garex d.o.o created a concept to provide a large target group with information of specific relevance to its members. In particular, the jury emphasized the high informative value and professional presentation of content in line with the medium.

"Retail Signage" category
An extremely well-made installation convinced the jury in the Retail Signage category. With its "Multimedia price and advertising presentation" at dodenhof project implemented by Online Software AG, the winner here was an example of the customer-oriented use of a store-operated DS installation in the retail sector.

"Guiding Signage/Routing" category
With its digital routing and guest information system at Andel's Hotel in Berlin, Macnetix, happy winner in the Guiding Signage/Routing category, created a convenient and informative installation for hotel guests. Here the medium is used to its best advantage - fully in line with its capabilities. Another asset, in the eyes of the jury, was the exemplary integration into the architectural setting.

"Content for Digital Signage" category
In the Content category the prize went to an idea that made it possible to deliver content and advertising to a clearly defined target group without wastage. This probably generated a high level of acceptance among its target group for Infocaddy - the innovative golf course information system by Bamoa.

"Interactive Signage" category
Due to the large number of innovative entries, as amny as two projects were awarded prizes in the Interactive Signage category. Hospitality Television was the happy winner of one award. The Lucca Last Minute project offers a genuine solution to the problem of finding accommodation - implementing what seems a promising approach. In the eyes of the jury it has considerable potential, just like many ideas with a pioneering character that invite emulation.

Precise in its implementation, a rigorous concept, maximum interactivity, innovative and promising. These are the characteristics of the second project to be awarded a prize in this category. The winner is Edigma.com with its Optimus Concept Store project.
