“Our product is unique in the field of process digitalization”
Networks and cloud solutions are opening up new approaches to textile finishing too. Visitors to PSI, viscom and PromoTex, to be held at Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre from 7th – 9th January 2020, can learn how such solutions can be used to optimise processes and reduce costs. Smake will be demonstrating their process in action in the special “Make Your Shirt” area in Hall 13. CEO Thomas Drees explains just what makes his concept so special.

“Make Your Shirt” – digitalisation as a journey of adventure
Digitalization is one of those challenges that also offers new chances for the future in the world of sales and advertising. Visitors to PSI, viscom and PromoTex, held at Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre from 7th – 9th January 2020, can learn all about the opportunities offered by a networked production chain. In the special “Make Your Shirt” area in Hall 13, Smake will be inviting you to go on a journey, from placing an order right through to taking delivery of your garment, all with the aid of a simple QR code. The company does not just embroider and print personalised clothing as a single item on demand, it has also developed software solutions that make finishing processes both scalable and cost-effective. A peek behind the company’s doors at its plant in Castrop-Rauxel gives a clue to its underlying concept and the benefits it has to offer.

viscom 2020: Explorers welcome
Gawking and marvelling are classic trade fair activities. But when you can experience everything and participate, you’ll reach another dimension. Staging ideas and innovations alongside the required technology with an eye to applications is part of the concept of the trade show trifecta that is viscom, PSI und PromoTex Expo. From 7 to 9 January 2020, they’ll join forces again at Messe Düsseldorf to make the whole World of Advertising and Selling tangible for an expected 25,000 visitors, giving them an opportunity to get involved, network and make their own experiences. A total of about 200 manufacturers and distributors from more than 40 countries will let visitors check out their newly developed products. Themed routes will show them the way to the most exciting stops.

Final Report viscom 2019
One visit, all the perks – a brilliant idea, well received. Featuring a total of 1,084 exhibiting companies, the new trade show network consisting of PSI, PromoTex Expo and viscom underscored its ambition of becoming Europe’s largest combined event for advertising and selling. More than half of the exhibitors came from outside Germany, representing a total of 38 countries.

Trade Show with a hands-on feel: Inspirations for new business lines at viscom 2019
From storytelling for interiors to highest-quality car wrapping: signmakers, printers, designers and the like can explore new lines of business at viscom 2019 and discover numerous highlights. These include a live signmaking workshop, a Fanshop and an Interior Design Day, to name but a few. They will make a visit to the trade show an informative and interactive experience. For the first time, Europe’s Trade Show for Visual Communication will kick off the new business year right at the beginning of the year from 8 to 10 January. And for the first time, it will be held in parallel with PSI, the International Trade Show for the Promotional Products Industry, and the new PromoTex Expo, the new Trade Show for Promotion, Sports and Workwear. This means the three independent events will make up one of Europe’s biggest trade show alliances for marketers and advertising professionals.

Embroidery at viscom 2019: all renowned manufacturers are represented
Textile finishing will be made an even more attractive theme at viscom 2019: from 8 to 10 January all renowned suppliers of embroidery machines and materials will be exhibiting their equipment, technologies and consumables at the Düsseldorf trade show. Right next door – and freely accessible for viscom visitors – the new PromoTex Expo show will present innovations in advertising textiles, job fashion and sportswear. This way textile finishers and signmakers have an overview of what is happening on the markets of relevance to them within easy reach.

New live event for car wrappers at viscom 2019
Getting close to the action when top wrappers from around the world do battle – that’s one of the hallmarks of viscom. From 8 to 10 January 2019, the hands-on trade fair for signmaking and digital large format printing will host a brand-new car wrapping experience: the Nations Wrap Cup. After ten years of the European Wrap Star, organiser MR Clipart has created a thrilling competition that’s even more international, has even more categories and features an even larger female contingent.
