UV inkjet systems from swissQprint are based on shared fundamentals: Swiss quality, high precision and a robust modular design, with a variety of practical application options. The large format printers process almost every common material, and unusual substrates, too. All this creates design freedom and competitive advantages for the user. swissQprint covers various productivity levels and meets different requirements with six models.
A range in tune with working practices
The flatbed printer Oryx 3 ranks as a professional starter model, with a maximum production rate of 65 m²/h and a 2.5×2 m print bed. The Impala 3 has the same dimensions but delivers output rates of up to 180 m² per hour, as speed model, Impala 3S, even 317 m²/h. The Nyala 3 model produces at a maximum rate of 206 m²/h, as Nyala 3S, at 370 m²/h. Besides, Nyala has a 3.2×2 m flatbed. Equipped with tandem functionality, which eliminates idle times during series production, these printers achieve outstanding productivity rates. An optional robot enables unmanned shifts as it places media onto the machine’s print bed and stacks it away after printing.
The flatbed printers offer add-on features as required: examples include the roll to roll option for printing on flexible materials such as tarpaulins, technical textiles or self-adhesive films, and the board option that offers a simple method of printing on oversized formats. In addition to the CMYK standard, the machines can be equipped with light colours, white, varnish, primer and spot colours thanks to a maximum of 9 colour channels.
The dedicated roll to roll printer Karibu completed the range in 2019. It is 340 cm wide and prints a maximum of 212 square metres per hour. All of the swissQprint machines produce at a resolution that would take at least one and a half times as long on other machines. Or to put it differently, they have no such thing as a draft mode.
Made in Switzerland
The premium systems are developed and produced at the swissQprint home base in Switzerland – the only way to guarantee the high standards of innovation and quality on which their reputation rests. 80 percent of all items that cannot be produced or prefabricated in-house come from Swiss suppliers, many of whom are on swissQprint’s doorstep. Final assembly is a hand-crafted process that meets the individual wishes of each customer.
Global customer base
swissQprint is present on every continent through an international network of specialist dealers – in the USA, in Germany, Span and Japan even through subsidiaries. There will soon be an additional one in the UK. These trained distribution partners handle marketing activities as well as local service. This cooperation network is bearing fruit; swissQprint has now sold over 1200 printing machines around the globe. Satisfied end customers include companies in the graphic sector and industrial corporations where inkjet technology is used to label products with text and images.
